Screening ACR guidelines

2014 ACR Practice Parameter Indications (adapted):

1.     Annually for asymptomatic women age 40 and older who are at average risk for breast cancer (along with screening DBT)

2.     Asymptomatic women under age 40 who are at increased risk for breast cancer...

a.     with known genetic mutation or syndrome associated with increased risk of breast cancer or with 1st degree relative with BRCA mutation: annual starting at age 25-30

b.     with >/=20% lifetime risk of breast cancer: annual starting at age 25-30, or 10 years before the youngest 1st degree relative was diagnosed, whichever is later

c.     with h/o chest radiation between ages 10-30: yearly starting 8 years after radiation, but not before age 25

d.     with h/o biopsy-proven LN, ADH, DCIS, invasive breast cancer, or ovarian cancer: yearly from time of diagnosis, regardless of age
