This study was done several hours later, when the patient's symptoms got worse. The area of stroke and hemorrhage have both increased, and there is now mass effect. What cerebral blood vessel supplies this part of the brain?

The findings on this CT are subtle, but there is a tiny region that is too white in the left brain, deep to the temporal lobe (red circle) and a region of lower density than normal (blue dotted line). The high density could be blood, and the lower density is worrisome for a stroke, or damage to brain tissue from loss of blood supply.
