ICM-II: CHEST, case 4

PHYSICAL EXAM:

 Dullness at both bases, tachypnea and tachycardia

HISTORY:

65 year old male presenting with sudden onset pleuritic chest pain and shortness of breath after a long airplane flight

It is essential to be organized in your approach to imaging studies.  For each case, begin by deciding what TYPE of image you are being shown.  Think about the proper TERMINOLOGY to describe findings, given the particular modality. Then note any pertinent TECHNICAL factors or problems with the image.
