Case 1: 65 year old man with shortness of breath

This patient’s shortness of breath is due to restriction of airflow in their right lung due to tumor that has encased that lung. The tumor is located in the pleural space and limits lung motion as well as compressing the lung as the tumor grows.  This particular pleural tumor is called a mesothelioma and is most often related to asbestos exposure.
